Activity 3: Digital Storytelling

I decided to make a story about feelings.  We talk a lot about feelings in our kindergarten health curriculum.  I found a variety of pictures that expressed different feelings. I think this would be good to start a discussion about how we all have feelings and its okay to express yourself.

I could use this in my class in a variety of ways.  It could be a beginning of a discussion, such as my health lesson on feelings, or a simple story to teach about reading and writing!  There are endless ways to use this.  It would be fun to have the class add the words to the story.  They would love to see something they have written and share it with others.
I felt limited on what I could write about because of the pictures.  My story was based on what pictures I could use.  I would definitely look at the pictures before thinking about the story that I want to write.

  1. Cute story! I love the pictures you chose, too! It is a good way to talk to your students and ask them questions based on the picture and feeling on each page--"When do you feel happy? When do you feel afraid and alone?" Telling a story can help set a calm, comfortable environment for students to learn and grow.
